The vitreous enamel, the material used forthe outer finishingof theLAVAcast ironcookware,is obtained by spraying glass powder at temperatures of750 - 850°C.The glass powderadheres to the surface of the saucepan creating a protective layer that also helps to optimally distribute heat.

Thelidis flat and has small protrusions on the inside, thus, ensuring thatmoistureis kept inside. Due to these characteristics, a "rain" effectdevelops inside the saucepan whichintensifies the flavors and eases the cooking process.

Thebasethickness is6mm,whichmakes possibleforLAVAcookware to be usableon all types of hobs, including induction hobs.
