The vitreous enamel, material used forthe outer finishingof theLava cast ironcookware, is obtained by spraying glass powder at temperatures of750 - 850°C.The glass powder adheres to the surface of the saucepan creating a protective layer that also helps to optimally distribute heat.

The base has thickness of4.5 mm and makes possibleforLavacookware to be usableon all types of hobs, including induction hobs.
