Why BRITA filter jugs?

These innovative filter jugs are a practical, convenient and environmentally friendly way to keep you permanently hydrated without having to constantly carry classic bottles of bottled water. Unlike non-environmentally friendly plastic bottles and that are difficult to degrade,BRITAjugs are used for a long time, requiring only a simple replacement of the filter cartridges.

The carafe and funnel can be washed in the dishwasher except for the cover which will be cleaned by hand.

Cartridge change indicator

TheMarellafilter jug is provided with a warning system for changing theMemotypecartridge, placed on the cover. This indicator easy to watch and set is anAUTOMATICone.
How does it work? The indicator monitors water filtration process and displays the remaining operating time of theMAXTRA PROcartridge. After inserting theMAXTRA PROcartridge, press and hold theSTARTbutton for a fewseconds, until the 4 lines are displayed on the screen and will flash alternately twice. Each line represents one of the four weeks in which theMAXTRA PROcartridge can be used with maximum performance. During the use of theMAXTRA PROfilter cartridge every week, onelinewill disappear from the display, indicating the remaining service life.

MAXTRA PROfilter cartridge replacement

For a consumption of2 lof water per person per day and to obtain optimal results every time, we recommend replacing theMAXTRA PROcartridgeevery4 weeksor150 lof filtered water.After the recommended time has expired, remove the filter jug lid, carefully remove the funnel, then, holding firmly the cartridge on either side, pull it up.
The new ergonomic shape of theMAXTRA PROcartridges allows easy removal and replacement.

The taste of tea and coffee, whether hot or cold, will be visibly improved once the water used for them has been filtered withMAXTRA PRO.Using filtered water, limescale will no longer build up on the appliances and their service life will be prolonged.

MAXTRA PROprovidesan economical alternative and not at all harmful for environment, to tap water consumption, the cartridges being100% recyclable.

Compared to previous versions ofBRITAcartridges,MAXTRA PROhas a4 times more efficientfinal filter sieve compared to theMAXTRA+filter. The tap water will first be passed through a super-fine sieve for initial purification, first retaining coarse particles from old pipes, and finally filtered again through an additional high-performance filter sieve.

The formula of"Micro Carbon"activated carbon particles removes more efficiently and faster, the organic impurities that impair water taste and odor.At the same time, the powerful ion exchange beads reduce the level of limescale and metals such as copper and lead. The viable results ofBRITAjugs and the impeccable taste of filtered water are mainly due to these particles.

Activated carbon, obtained from coconut shell, present in a compact form, can filter more water more efficiently. The micro-pores of the carbon particles trap unwanted substances, even in the fight against pesticides.
